Photo 29 Jan 17 notes Chinese photographer Ruan Yulin captured breathtaking images of the Antarctic while hovering above the snowy landscape in a helicopter. Ruan took the images when he joined China’s 28th South Pole science expedition. He was invited to visit Australia’s Davis Science Station at the South Pole. Davis situated 2,250 nautical miles south-south-west of Perth, on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of Princess Elizabeth Land. The pictures were shot en route as they flew to the Davis station on an Australian helicopter.
