After spending several days photographing a fox den near his home in southeastern Virginia, Ken Conger got this shot on one magical evening. “The kits came out together to give me a look, portraying several different expressions,” Conger says. “The surrounding blooming buttercups were a bonus.” Conger used a Canon EOS-1D and a 400mm lens.
