Started the hike at 3am to get up here in time for sunrise. I thought we’d be the only ones on the trail at that time, but wow…was I wrong! The parking lot was nearly full and I saw a steady stream of headlamps all the way up the mountain. I think most people were looking to be on the summit for sunrise. To my knowledge, there weren’t really any other photographers out. We even passed one guy who was on his way down at 4am after being on the summit at 2:30am because he had to hike early to be on time to a birthday breakfast.
