See this man? This man is a moron, a disgrace to humanity and has a barely rudimentary knowledge of how bodies work.

He is also a Congressman, running for Senate in Missouri.

As you probably already know, his name is Todd Akin and he said this:

“First of all, from what I understand from doctors [pregnancy from rape] is really rare,” Akin told KTVI-TV in an interview postedSunday. “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”

There are two things going on here. One, what in the fuck is a “legitimate” rape? Are there rapes that are not legitimate? What constitutes a legitimate rape to this jackass? Someone needs to ask him what his definition of that term is. 

Second, where the fuck did this guy get his education from? WHERE DID HE LEARN THAT WOMEN HAVE THE ABILITY TO SHUT DOWN A POSSIBLE PREGNANCY DURING RAPE?

Do we have a microchip in our vaginas that can determine a) if we are being raped and b) if that rape is “legitimate?” Does it send a signal to to our reproductive organs, something like “DEFCON ONE, DEFCON ONE, INTRUDER ALERT, SHUT HER DOWN, THIS ONE IS LEGITIMATE!”

If anyone out there defends this scumbag of a human being they should really take a long, hard look at their beliefs and maybe get a lobotomy or something because no person in their right mind should ever speak nor defend words like this. 

I am LEGITIMATELY angry. 

Way to go, Republican Party. You sure know how to back the winners.

Jesus fucking christ. If you could seriously shut down your reproductive systems so simply, do you think every single person wouldn’t? Why does ANYONE get pregnant via rape if they have the option not to?
